Yoga Poses for Weight Loss-– Yoga no doubt has changed my entire outlook on physical exercises. It has not only helped me in getting good body shape but it has also increased my body flexibility as well.

As earlier I was struggling with bodyweight management, bulky belly, slow metabolism rate.

So I started going to the gym, walking but the fact was I neither liked both of these activities, so I thought of joining a yoga class.

My decision to join a yoga class was perfect as I was a beginner in doing yoga and didn’t have much knowledge about it.

I started doing yoga as a trial to see if it works for me, and it did, I started enjoying my yoga schedule and never miss out even a single day without yoga.

Each week, I found one thing I could be proud of, like balancing one-second longer or going one inch deeper in a pose.

Going to a class full of people who encourage me inspires me to keep up my hard work. Which results in weight loss, feeling relaxed, fresh and focussed.

Step your left foot toward the back. Now bring your left foot toes in a 45-degree angle. Start to bend your right knee so it comes over the ankle.

Widen your stance so it helps in increasing the stability of your posture. Arm position may vary according to your flexibility.

Make sure your hips pointing forward not twisted to side.

2. Sun salutation

It is also known as the king of asanas. As sun salutation works on the whole body and not only on any particular part.

One round of surya namaskar consists of 12 asanas , it is recommended to do 3-4 rounds for effective weight loss.

3. Bow Pose

>Lie on your stomach with your arms by the side of the body.

>Now fold both the knees and taking your hands backward hold the ankles.

>Start breathing in ,lift the chest up form the ground and pull the legs.

>Look forward keep the pose stable, while focusing on your breath. The body is now curved like a bow. Bend only as possible as it is for you do not overdo it. Continue to take deep breaths while in the posture.

>Hold the posture for 20-25 seconds and as you exhale bring the legs to the normal position. relax.

4. Angle pose

This bending posture helps in burning fat around the waistline.

>Stand straight with the feet apart from each other. arms alongside the body

>Breath in and raise the left arm up, pointing towards the sky. Breath out and bend the body first from the spine and then from pelvis towards the right side.

>Move the face to look up at the left palm.

>Breath in straighten the body back then breath out bring the left palm back to rest position. relax.

>repeat this 2-3 times

5. Chair Pose

>Stand straight with feet apart.

>Stretch your hands straight, forward with the palms facing downwards.

>Bend your knees slightly and push the pelvis back , imagine like you are sitting on the chair.

>Make sure the hands are parallel to ground. sit straight and lengthen the spine.

Keep breathing normally throughout the pose , be aware of your posture.

And after 25-30 sec keep going down, if you want you may lie down on your back and relax.

6. Halasana

>while lying on the mat let your arms face downwards .

>lift your legs upwards with the help of abdominal muscles they should be perpendicular to ground.

>Now with the help of your hands lift the hip upfrom the floor.

>Bring the feet in a 180-degree angle such that they are placed beyond your head.

>Back should be perpendicular to ground

>be in this state for as long as it is possible for you. Exhale, and gently bring down your legs. Avoid jerking your legs while releasing the pose .

7. Paschimottanasana

Forward Seated Bend

In this yoga-asana, you have a strain on your stomach, which directly affects the stomach fat. If your belly has gone too far ahead, then this posture can be seen very influential by doing it regularly.
